Where are Green Valley vegetables and beans grown?

In the USA! All organic beans, vegetables and pumpkin for Green Valley products are grown in the United States and packed here too. We raise our pumpkins in the great state of Illinois. We harvest our veggies across the beautiful farmlands of Minnesota and Wisconsin. And our beans are grown in Idaho.

What does “organic” mean and why should I purchase?

Every step of a Green Valley farmer’s growing process is certified organic, from the planting in synthetic-free soil to the organics-only equipment that haul our vegetables right off the farm… and to your kitchen! We believe organic vegetables are good for you and we strive to show everyone how easy and rewarding healthy eating can be.

Does Green Valley use cans that are BPA free?

We use cans produced in the United States that do not have the addition of BPA to the lining.

Are Green Valley products high in sodium?
A

Our organic canned vegetables have no salt added. The ingredients are just vegetables and water. Our canned and pouch-packed beans have a little sea salt included to enhance flavor. For full nutrition panel information, visit our Products page.

Why do you use cans?
A

Infinite recyclability – Steel food cans can be recycled over and over and over again with no downgrading of material, which is why over 75% of all steel ever produced is still in use today. And it’s easy too! Unlike non-magnetic materials, steel can be easily sorted (pulled out) by big mega-magnets at recycling facilities, which is one reason why so much steel actually gets recycled.

Reduced food waste – Having built-in portion control and helping fresh food stay fresh for a long time, steel cans reduce the amount of food that gets thrown out due to wilting and spoilage.

Packaged at peak freshness – Canned food is packed at the perfect level of freshness and ripeness so it’s just right when you open the can. The vacuum seal of a metal can removes air, locking in freshness and maintaining quality until you decide to use it… today, tomorrow, or in two years!

What is in Green Valley Pumpkin?
A

Just pumpkin! No spices or additives. We select organic-grown, naturally sweet, vine-ripened pumpkins to make our premium pumpkin purée. It can be used to make anything from delicious desserts – pumpkin pie, cake, cheesecake, or pumpkin muffins – to main dishes such as soup and casseroles. Whatever pumpkin recipes are chosen, Green Valley’s quality and taste means perfect results, every time.
