2 Tablespoons oyster sauce

1 Tablespoon chili sauce

1 block (14 ounces) firm tofu

3 Tablespoons vegetable oil

4 cups broccoli florets

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch, soy sauce, and water until smooth. Add garlic, oyster sauce, chili sauce, and sugar. Stir to combine. Set aside.

Tear the tofu into bite-size pieces. (Tearing instead of cutting creates rough edges that better absorb the sauce.)

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high until shimmering. Add tofu and cook until 5 minutes, golden brown on the bottom. Flip and continue cooking 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the tofu is evenly browned.
